Syrian Parkour National Team Heads to Amman for the Arab Championship

The Syrian national parkour team continues its final preparations in Damascus before traveling to Amman on Wednesday to participate in the 2nd Arab Parkour Championship (28 August – 3 September 2025).
The team has been holding intensive training sessions at the National Teams’ Specialized Hall in Al-Fayhaa Sports City, combining technical practice on apparatus and theoretical sessions led by the coaching staff.
The delegation is composed of:
Head of Delegation: Mohamed Bakir
Coach: Ahmad Souwas Shami
Athletes inside Syria: Sarah Abbas – Imad Dibo
Athletes abroad: Mohamed Barghash – Andria Semaan – Wissam Al-Abed
President of the Gymnastics Federation, lawyer Youssef Al-Taba’a, confirmed that the preparations included an open training camp in Damascus as well as monitoring athletes abroad, expressing hope that the team achieves leading results.
Last year, Syria also competed in Jordan, where Mohamed Barghash won gold and Andria Semaan silver. This year’s championship is expected to host athletes from 12 Arab countries.
In parallel, the team will also compete in the Bosphorus International Tournament in Turkey (3–7 September 2025), with a second delegation headed by Maher Hourai, coach Karim Al-Qasir, and athletes Mohamed Al-Qasem, Mohamed Suleiman Al-Hussein, and Nourd Al-Sagheer.
